Everyone has the capacity to learn and change. At Options Center for Health and Education, effective learning strategies enable students to think and solve problems with optimum success. If students know how to learn, they can acquire and process information more fully and easily.
Learning How to Learn
Programs at Options are designed to complement the traditional educational process. Students practice easy techniques that enable them to reach their full potential and enjoy positive attitudes toward learning.
At Options, the emphasis is more on learning skills and exercises rather than on content and repetition.
As a result students have increased self-esteem and motivation, are able to avoid or reduce stress on their own, and are more aware of their own intelligence and capabilities. Students are taught through a “Learn-By-Doing” approach in a lively and active manner that stimulates energy, motivation, and whole-brain learning. The emphasis is to develop and maintain essential skills in the learning process that students can apply in other areas of their daily lives, thus enhancing performance on all levels. When the brain is integrated and the student is more relaxed, learning difficulties or behavioral problems are reduced and can even be eliminated.
The primary techniques used at Options are Brain Gym® exercises, hair analysis and nutritional counseling. Brain Gym® consists of a series of exercises designed to help integrate the hemispheres of the brain. When the brain is integrated and the student is more relaxed, learning difficulties or behavioral problems are reduced and can even be eliminated.
